Fair Weather Trading Company started as a simple hobby making homemade dog treats, dog toys, soaps and candles. One day a farmer stopped by my family run automotive business and that moment changed my thoughts and trajectory for what I had planned. Today with the friendship and partnering withe Moore Meats, FW has become more than I had imagined. With special thanks to my husband for supporting and encouraging me as well as my family and friends for embracing my passion, FWTC is more than a hobby!
I continue to experiment with the possibilities of tallow and the sky is the limit. I cherish the partnership and friendship I have with Jake and Sarah Moore and with working together, our brands build off of each others. Fat that would have otherwise be tossed is now repurposed. The byproducts of rendering tallow is returned to the farm as an additional dietary source for the Iberico Pigs being raised.

Embracing all things OBX!
I have a secret love affair with Outer Banks and so many of my designs and scents have been inspired from my time spent there. Although I have been all throughout the many beaches there, my heart belongs to Hatteras. When my husband and I go on vacation, the dogs come too and they have the same love affair with the beach that I do.
My hopes in designing the OBX collection is to always have a piece of Dare County close at hand…one smell and I’m sitting on the beautiful beach, listening to the waves and watching the world go by.

What is Tallow?
Tallow is rendered suet (fat) which is the hard, fatty layer that surrounds an animals organs, specifically the loins & kidneys. The tallow that is used in my products is beef tallow and is locally sourced from Moore Meats in West Grove, PA. (www.moore-meats.com)
Beef tallow is 50% saturated fat, 42% monounsaturated fat and 4% polyunsaturated fat.
Tallow contains vitamin A, D, E & K. It is the original “body butter” with many health benefits which includes the production of collagen, helps with skin irritation and can speed up skin healing.
